ABOUT. 

Marco Merenda [he/they] (20.04.1994) is a German-Italian performance artist with a focus on directing, dramaturgy, performance and physical theatre. An acting education at the Accademia del Teatro Oscar (Milan), a directing education at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi (Milano) and an intensive Viewpoints workshop with Ellen Lauren (SITI Company) are among their most relevant artistic experiences. In 2017, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Literature at the Università degli Studi di Pavia. Between 2019 and 2021 they studied Performance Studies at the University of Hamburg. They are co-founder of the Hamburg-based F.ART collective, which has already been invited to several festivals, online and open-air events (Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival, WE PRESENT 19, Hauptsache Frei, Feeljazz Festival, StageJam 2, Szenario - Festival für Darstellende Künste, Altonale). They also work as a freelance performer in Hamburg and collaborates with Christopher Ramm, Ton Bogataj, Glitch AG, Mab Cardoso, Nagila Réis, Carolina Burandt and Kotka Gudmon, among others.
